Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

1. About these terms

Jamphony (“Jamphony”, “we”, “us”) is an online service at jamphony.com where people play music together in live rooms. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use Jamphony.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. You may use Jamphony as a guest without an account, but guests cannot create a room or use account features.

3. Your account

  • You sign up with an email address and a password. An account that is not confirmed within 30 days is deleted.
  • Each account has a display name, a unique account ID and a username. The username can be changed once a month if the new one is available.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us at contact@jamphony.com if you believe someone else has used it.
  • Each person may hold only one account. You must not create additional accounts to avoid a removal from a room or any other restriction.

4. Rooms, hosts and moderation

Every room has a host. Hosts can remove players from a room for a set time and transfer the host role to another player. Hosts are other users, not employees of Jamphony, and we are not responsible for how they use these tools. We may also remove content, rooms or accounts ourselves, and we may do so without notice where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use Jamphony to:

  • harass, threaten, demean or impersonate other people, including through insults, hateful, racist or sexist remarks;
  • share illegal, sexual or violent content, links to such material, or content that infringes someone else’s rights, whether in chat, names or anywhere else;
  • share personal or sensitive information about yourself or others;
  • send spam, flood the chat or the keyboard, or attempt to avoid the rate limits;
  • probe, attack, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access other people’s accounts;
  • use scripts, bots or automated players that play, chat or join rooms unless we have agreed to it in writing.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create, such as chat messages and your display name. By posting it you give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display and relay it to other users as needed to operate the service, including for moderation. Notes you play are shared live with the room you are in. Chat messages are visible to everyone in the room. The Privacy Policy describes how personal data is handled.

7. Our content

The Jamphony name, the site and its software belong to us or our licensors. Sound libraries (SoundFonts) available in the app remain subject to the licenses set by their authors. You may not copy, resell or redistribute any part of the service except as these terms or the law allow.

8. Availability and disclaimer

Jamphony is an independently operated service. It may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time, and we do not guarantee that rooms, messages or accounts will always be available. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Jamphony at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may restrict, suspend or end your account if you break these terms, or if we close the service. We are not required to give a warning or apply a temporary restriction first. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability, will continue after your account ends.

10. Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, Jamphony and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we will notify you through a notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Jamphony after a change, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes will be handled by the courts of the United States, unless the law where you live provides otherwise. Questions about these terms: contact@jamphony.com.
